Lincoln as Commander in Chief-- A self-taught strategist with no combat experience, Abraham Lincoln saw the path to victory more clearly than his generals. 

-INTRODUCTION-

       This multi-link activity help to introduce the conditions and capabilities of each side (Union & Confederacy) including the GOALS: 1. planning; 2. war actions; 3. military officers; 4. political considerations throughout the war; 5. results, and even through the beginning of reconstruction.


       Also considered is the connection to 20th century civil rights will also be covered.  This activity will work with the even larger "Lincoln's Command" activity as listed in the table of links below.
