TASK #12-- Make a Comparison/Contrast presentation between Frederick Douglass and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
READ: Frederick Douglasville has been considered the father of Black Freedom and Civil Rights. Along with others of his time, he was the first black person to work with a president in making things better for the free and enslaved blacks in the 19th Century, and the final solution of the 13th Amendment. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would take over in getting basic civil rights in the mid 1960's. After reading about both of these men in the article, write an essay about what each did to help the black man, how he did it, any similarities in the efforts, and any differences in method. Include historical details in your essay of three or more pages.
